JumpStart to Clean Eating Summary

I am sorry that I have been delayed in writing this post.  Craziness took over at our household the last two weeks.  My son's journey to the military went on overload for two weeks!  It was crazy!  For awhile we thought that he would be leaving this week so all his testing had to be done right now!  Unfortunately, the job that he wanted did not happen.  But that is okay because now he is going to be a Combat Medic and leaves in October.  Now that that stress is controlled and his life is defined all is good there.  This momma can rest awhile and enjoy her son's company for a few more months.

The other stressor is that we are going to sell our house.  So I have been obsessed with getting it ready to sell.  I have been cleaning, organizing, etc.  I threw myself into that which means that I neglected my workouts.  Between trying to find a new job and cleaning the house I just couldn't do much of anything else.  I really do have a one-track mind but the last two weeks have really highlighted that behavior!  I am slight OCD but over the last two weeks in went into overdrive.  However, I do have to say my house is looking great and we won't have as much junk to move once we do the sell the house.  All great things in my mind!

Anyway, back to the JumpStart Eating Plan.  The first thing I want to say is thank you Chloe!  Your program is great.  The food suggestions were diverse and very yummy. I believe that diversity did a lot to keep me on the plan.  I have attempted to lose weight with many plans and the thing that always gets me is the routine nature of the meals.  This plan was not like that at all!  Additionally, the Shakeology shakes were indeed great.  The taste was awesome.  They were not chalky tasting at all and the best thing of all, they did not hurt my sensitive stomach!  I have had many protein shakes and many of them are very chalky and quite frankly gross.  Additionally, they never sat well in my stomach.  I was often plagued with gas and intestinal pains.  TMI, I know.  But that is to highlight how great the Shakeology shakes were for me.  The TMI items were not an issue with these shakes so I indeed loved the Shakeology shakes.

Overall, I lost 4.2 lbs with the plan.  I could have done a lot better but for my lack of working out for the last days of the plan.  I was working.  I spent each of those days doing housework but unfortunately, I was not doing my usual swim, bike run.  Had I done those activities as required by Chloe I would have lost more weight.  Though, let me clarify.  Chloe does not require swim, bike, run.  She encourages you to find the activities that work for you and then to do them everyday except for rest days.  On rest days you are still encouraged to do something but not as intensely or for as long.  I just do swim, bike, run because that is how I roll.  Anyway, my lack of continued workouts was my fault and I apologize to Chloe for this misstep.  However, because I was still using the diet eating plan I was able to maintain the weight loss.  That is huge for me!  In the recent pass, I have been able to drop weight during the week and once the weekend comes I stray from my "weekly" eating habits and gain all the weight back over the weekend.  Not fun!  I was losing the same weight over and over again!  Not the case in this instance.  I was able to eat well over the weekend with the plan and thus keep my weight loss.  Awesome!

I guess it all comes down to this, "would I recommend going with Chloe and her eating plans and shakes?"  Absolutely! Chloe has found the right mix for this to work for everyone.  So if you believe you need to make changes in your lifestyle and eating habits, please check out Chloe Gibbs.  I believe that she can and will do anything to help you.

I was not paid to endorse Chloe at all.  Though, I was given the Shakeology shakes for the plan.  The words and opinions addressed in this post are my own and I stand by assessment of Chloe's plan and the Shakeology shakes. If the plan had not worked for me, I would have expressed those results.

  5. I've totally been doing the "lose the same weight over and over" thing. I see better weights Thur and Fri mornings and then by Mon it has gone up a few again. Grr...I know I just have to stop seeing the weekend as a ticket to indulge. Congrats on the loss. Every little bit counts especially when it stays off. Best wishes as you go through the moving process. I'm NEVER (and read that with all the emphasis you can) moving. House is paid for - never, never, never leaving until someone has to push me into a nursing home.

  8. Yea I'm glad you have some more time with your boy! Enjoy it! I swear we must be in the same place in life. I've been giving selling my house a lot of thought. I really want something smaller without the hassles, but can't quite wrap my brain around all the work it would take to get my house ready for putting on the market.
