Three Things Thursday!

I am partial to this state and this is one reason why!

  1. I love Kansas! I love being home. I love the love that all my family shows me. I feel really special right now and I think I needed that. Thanks to all my family members! All y'all are the bomb!
  2. I have ridden twice since I have been home. I rode 40 miles the first day and today I rode 20 miles. I am taking tomorrow off because for the first time in my life I am doing a 5K in my hometown!!!! How cool is that! Of course, I will be back to riding on Sunday because I love riding here!!! The wind has been horendous but I haven't care in the least. I am just enjoying the beautiful green fields and all the nature. I even save a turtle from the middle of the road. How cool is that! Plus, an added bonus is that I can breathe! No asthma issues at all. I love that!
  3. I saved his little life!
  4. 3. I am going to give you your Friday lyric early today and since I am inspired by Kansas here is a nice Jason Aldean song, Flyover State.

Until later keep riding, running and swimming to your personal greatness.

  8. I saved a turtle once only to find out I put him/her on the wrong side of the road.... apparently, it was crossing to get away from the water to mate/lay eggs.. oops.

    Happy biking and riding!

  9. So glad you're having a great time at home. There's absolutely no place like home - ever!

The turtle is sooo cute; I'd have a really hard time not taking him home!

Have a great rest of your vacation :)

  10. Thanks for loving me. Of course, my assumption Sherlock Holmes style is that since you love Kansas, and I am part of Kansas, that you therefore love me. lol. Enjoy the rest of your time home!

  11. Great job saving the turtle - not to be an ass, but I hope you put him on the side of the road he was facing or else he probably tried to cross again ;)

I used to save snapping turtles during the breeding season, as they come up and lay their eggs in the road side gravel and so many times people would toss them to the side they were already coming from, only to have them get hit anyway :(

  12. Would love to meet up in KS sometime and enjoy some FLAT riding. I'm close enough to the Ozarks that we get hills, but I am really enjoying the greening up of the spring.
